An eight-hour race through the Ardennes forest, with the largest elevation change of the season. It has genuinely fast sections — Eau Rouge among them — and is famous for weather that differs from one part of the circuit to another. The race starts on Sunday afternoon and finishes after dark.
An endurance round is a single race, with the riders of one team taking turns. That is why there is only an overall classification.
